Trondheim Airport Train

Trondheim Airport counts with a Train Station called Værnes / Trondheim Lufthavn. Passengers can transfer from TRD Airport to Trondheim city centre within 35 minutes by train.  

VY TRAIN 

VY Train, also known as NSB (Norwegian State Railways), operate from Trondheim Airport and get to Trondheim city centre in 35 minutes. The train station at the city centre is called Trondheim S.

- Monday to Friday: from 05:54h to 23:03h. Frequencies vary. 
- Saturday and Sunday: from 06:43h to 23:03h. Frequencies vary.

The train station is located within a short walk from the Terminals.

Fares start at 44 NOK, but can vary. 

Where can I buy my ticket?

Tickets are sold online, at the vending machines in all train stations and on board to the driver. If you decide to buy it on board, please bear in mind there is a surcharge of NOK 40.00 to the final fare.

TO Åre

From Trondheim Airport it is also possible to get to Åre, a skiing area. The journey can vary between 2 hours and 15 minutes and 2 hours and 45 minutes, as it is necessary to change trains at Hell and at Storlien stations.
